Exclamation Considering a Z4MC Project- What are the possibilities?????

Guys,
I always wanted to have a modified car. I am just thinking to get a Z4MC and modify it. What are the possiblites?? I know some one put a V10 in the car. What would you consider?? I am going to list a few options. I know some can be done and some i am not sur about.

1. Rebuild a S54 with better internals and use the 3.4 boring Kit ($$$$???)

2. Super charger the engine. ($$$$????)

3. Forget the S54 and see if a V8 or a v10 will fit in. ($$$$????)

Has anyone here every rebuild their S54 engine themselves, if so how hard was it?? What cost is involved if I want to get it done professionally or do it my self. I have never worked on an engine before !

I wouldn't even give a second thought to the V10 swap, as thats untold amounts of work. I'd built up the engine internals and do a S/C or Turbo install.. with that you should have more then enough power at your disposal.

Supercharge it, 3.4 liter is a headache. And a v10 is a headache x 10000.

Plus you aren't going to be rebuilding it yourself if you've never worked on an engine before. It also takes a lot of special tools just to take it apart and put it together.

Figure about 14-16k for a supercharger installed. That will get you 400+ and none of the headaches and reliability issues you'll get with a 3.4 built NA or trying to pt a v10 in.

Here's a 500hp SC kit that a member on another forum just installed. I'd think that would be enough power.
