BMW Ragtop cleaner

Hello all---

Ok got the BMW cleaner and soft top repellent today from dealer, The cleaner instructions is straight forward, spray on rub in, rinse---- But the Soft top repellant instructions say dissolve the contents of the bottle with 84.54 oz of water, Do you use all the bottle in one application? Or are they saying mix in a container and use what you need?

Any help would be most grateful----Any ideas

Bob

If this is the brand name Ragtop, you might want to protect the windows, trim and paint from the over spray. Masking tape and old sheets. The guys on the Mini Cooper site say the stuff is brutal to get off of windows and paint.

One whole bottle is too much for the roof, I found half the bottle was more than enough.
Mix what you need only. I used a sponge to soak it into the roof and let it dry in the sun.

Pick a warm day. Definately not a winter project.

Upgrade Raggtop

Hello all,
Just wondering who has redyed their top, if so what was used and how long it may last? I have a 2003 and spending $2000+ for a new top seems pricey and just checking my options.

Thanks in advance.

I've used "Renovo reviver". It is easy to use, just brush on. I did tape and mask around windows and paint, Not sure how easy it would be to get off. Comes in colors. http://www.renovointernational.com/p...s/car-care.php

this stuff is super hard to get off. don't let it get on your duco or plastic window (z3).. luckily I was replacing the rear window anyhows, but yeah its a hassle to get off.

The finish however is awesome and pretty darn hardy. Dxb sun wreaks pretty much everything , but this stuff is holding up pretty darn great.
