Z4M Roadster - Price Check?
Hey everyone,
I am looking to part ways with my 2007 Z4M roadster. I have enjoyed my time in the roadster but as I turn 25 this year (lol) I am finding myself using my wagon and X5d much more and want to step back into an E46 M3 or into an E9x M3, so the fleet has to downsize. I really don't fit in the car and it doesn't fit my life style. Silver exterior Black interior NON NAVIGATION Fitted extended leather door cards since I hated the cheap ones Bluetooth phone 131k miles Has an aftermarket poly wind deflector in the headrests and center I have owned it for almost 4 years and haven't even put 10k miles on it. In that time I have performed the following: Rebuilt a low mileage S54 and installed due to a concern regarding rod bearings (no one replaced them and I didn't get to it in time when I bought the car, go figure) over 4k miles ago, I have literally changed the oil 8 times since the motor was rebuilt, always with Motul 10w-60 and LiquiMoly MOS2 with OEM MAHLE filter. Dr. Vanos rebuilt VANOS unit Megan Racing catless headers DKF section 2 with 100 cell cats UUC short shifter + OEM ZHP knob + all new shifter bushings All OEM Elring Gaskets ACL rod bearings Delphi Coilpacks + OEM plugs LuK flywheel LuK clutch Aftermarket brass clutch pivot pin OEM Throw out bearing guide tube OEM center support bearing OEM Guibo AKG diff bushings Anchor engine mounts (Feels OEM to me, used them on my E46 M3 and my mothers E46 325ci) OEM BMW E24 transmission bushings (way bigger and thicker than OEM) Clutch and brake pedal bushings Frank Smith (TTFS) Dyno tune, 310whp Mustang convertible top motor + new fluid Retrofitted the OEM headlights with EVO-XR projectors (headlight nut here) Moog Monoball Trailing Arms (https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/...shing.1227852/) New battery, less than 3 months old Alignment to OEM specs Every fluid changed and I mean every fluid Brake fluid Diff fluid Trans fluid (royal purple, makes a big difference) Coolant Power Steering fluid Engine oil multiple times Weird things I have done that people might appreciate Stubby Antenna painted in SEM Trim black Satin Black grilles New BMW emblems Euro style tinted + convex side mirrors (make a huge difference) LED interior lights Repainted windshield wiper arms in SEM trim black Bosch Icon Wiper blades Installed an LED strip in the trunk so you can actually see stuff Clear rear 3rd brake light since I hated the red someone put on it New ///M Stripes on all of the badges Car is on stock suspension, stock brakes SSR Comp-CH wheels, 2pc forged then welded OEM wheels are rough shape paint wise, no curbing though. Cosmetically the car is in really good shape. Soft top is nice, black and not cracked. Paint is cosmetically what you'd expect for 131k miles, bumper was resprayed prior to me owning it, it doesn't match super good. I recently caught it on a curb and will be having the bumper resprayed before posting the car for sale. Windshield is in Nice shape. OEM glass, no scratches, no cracks, no starfish, etc. Light pitting from the miles. Interior is in decent shape. No dye or leather cracking. I rewrapped the steering wheel in a Mewant cover since the leather was in Meh shape. I just paint corrected the car and ceramic coated it in cQuartz UK Notable problems: * I wrapped the car myself at one point and marked some of the paint with a razor blade (was trying to teach myself to not use knifeless tape.. expensive mistake, hard to see, it is on the rear deck lid) * When I peeled the wrap off, it pulled some clear off of the driver front fender. I have since re-cleared it and blended it, but, it is noticeable from 5 feet away. * Throw out bearing clicks when you press the pedal in, goes away once you release the clutch What am I looking at price wise? Car is perfect mechanical wise. Since I have owned it, I ALWAYS warm it up prior to getting on it. LSD still works great, trans shifts great as well. I forgot a bunch of stuff that I will add onto the post as I go. Last edited by 1messedupZ4M; 07-05-2022 at 05:32 PM.. Reason: added more maintenance items |

As much as you've done to the car, and as much money and effort and sweat equity as you've put into it, an honest price assessment is going to boil down to this: 2007 Z4MR, 131K miles, replacement engine.
I looked at BaT results and didn't find any Z4MR's with that kind of mileage. Cars & Bids had quite a few, here are some examples. 115K miles, supercharged, $18K: https://carsandbids.com/auctions/3Be...-z4-m-roadster 106K miles, western car, $18.5K: https://carsandbids.com/auctions/rGj...-z4-m-roadster 96K miles, rare color, $17K: https://carsandbids.com/auctions/rkw...-z4-m-roadster |

I occasionally see one for ~20k with my mileage and no maintenance history. I am hoping to part ways with mine for 18k with my wheels or 17k without my wheels and just the OEM wheels. We'll see I guess, waiting to see if anyone else has any input as far as pricing. |

I was not able to find a match to your specifics but similar mileage E85 Ms are going for 18 to 22k (USD) in Canada. All have original engine, some have similar modifications.

Although it's not the original engine it does have the VANOS and rod bearings done. That is a selling point.

You can post on BAT with a reserve and see what it bids up to. If below your reserve then you know what the market is willing to pay. BAT is a good place for a car like this. I bought mine from someone after they posted on BAT and didn't hit reserve.
