Questions on car options? - potential purchase.
I have found a potential car for purchase. Got VIN and looking through an internet spreadsheet on production info options for 4 items and a simple Y/N indication.
Shows the following for the VIN: PP - Yes - I think this means premium package, though not sure what all that includes??? HS - No, not sure what that is? Nav - No, which is obviously Navigation - is not having it potentially a good thing (as in they are very dated software wise)? But do I loose other functions? HDR - Yes, but not sure what it is. Anyway, if I could get any clarity on this it would be appreciated. I am obviously a tad new to these cars....bear with me please. OH and what the heck is VL WALKNAPPA/SEPANG BRONZE HELL (LTA8) under the Interior column? I get the Sepang Bronze, not much else. Color from Hell maybe? Ha! |

Not sure about most of those but this site seems to say that the leather part is "Light Sepang Brzone extended Nappa leather", which I think was top of the line...
I think the PP normally included the power top and power seats, amongst some other stuff. Maybe someone else knows what those other codes mean? |

VL WALKNAPPA/SEPANG BRONZE HELL is light Sepang leather. They come from BMW's "Nappa" quality cows.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=52_3124 LT means extended leather. A8 is the code for light Sepang bronze I think. If memory serves, there are only 3 options you can pick on the MZ4. Premium package (which includes assist, cruise control, power seats), Nav, and extended leather. Then there are color combinations you can choose for exterior and interior, and dash options (carbon leather, aluminum, and wood).

I don't know what year or if your looking for a m or non-m but here's the brochures for a 2007 m and non m that should answer some of your questions about options.
Even though the nav is dated, when used with a Intravee II it provides allot of cool features and information. When paired with your phone the calls and your phone directory shows up on the nave screen. For me, the nav was a must have. For just having serious fun driving the car, the nav is not a requirement, but I do use it on unfamiliar roads to see the direction and sharpness of upcoming turns. The light Sepang bronze interior option can only be had on an M.
