New Addition: AFE Intake Pics!
Have to THANK gferil BIG TIME for the help on the installation and also for the part. Great price and I have to say it was money well spent. Have been finding every single excuse to take the car out and drive it as hard as possible just to hear the awesome sound that the engine is making. As far as performance gains, I'm pretty sure everyone knows that the intake won't help much in that area unless a tune follows along, but trust me just the sound alone will make this mod worth a try. Gotta say Remus exhaust and AFE intake is a great combination, hoping an RE X-Pipe will compliment this even more. Gferil and I drove our ///M's through the Caldecott Tunnel at full speed for a short period of time, and both cars sounded amazing.
Here are a few pics, hope everyone likes them: |

Looking good man! After doing those runs in the caldecott tunnel, I really can't wait for the Exhaust 'Fest coming up in a few weeks...hearing all those different Z4M's with their different setups is going to be sweet!
Your car sounded sweet in the tunnel and when you did the downshift next to me on the freeway it sounded bad ass! Definitely go for the X Pipe next! |

The bend in the OE bar is to clear the air tube.

I have the same intake but am going back to the oem airbox. Granted the afe makes a glorious sound but it really hurts performance. We lose power on it...my tuner hated what it was doing. The MAF does not want to be in any other housing other than OEM. I was running incredibly rich...it's tuned now so that's all fixed but I'll probably gain anywhere up to 5whp going back to OEM.
