Regarding treadwear ratings...they are only comparable between tires of the same manufacturer.

Interestingly, it sounds like Consumer Reports also uses the same course for their own treadwear testing? FYI - Ask most SCCA Solo drivers and they can probably tell you a treadwear rating of >=140 is the cut off for street tire classes. |
