can i ask you how you installed the seats, and what hardware you bought to make that work using the stock belt system. any pictures of the actual seat install? how did you work around the passenger occupancy mat/sensor in the stock seat?

i LOVE your instrument panel.. just LOVE IT!!!

so much goodness in this build thread mate, thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks Vanne

The hardware was bought in a local motorsport shop here in Norway. So no links, sorry!
It took som time and it was a big prosess to make those seats fit well in the Z. I have no pics of the install.

The seat trimer grinded down the outher edge of the Recaro seat ears before it was trimed with alcantara. This gave me more space when installing the seats.

Seat belt buckles has actually switched positions, left on right seat and right on left seat. This gave me also more space.

The occupancy sensor shall be tricked with a bypass fix. I have bought it, but not installed it yet. It tricks the system to think its sitting a person in the passenger seat all the time. It also tricks the seat belt warning alarm.

Yellow looks good

Those I bought was more or less plug and play.

But installing it in a roadster could be a challenge, it looks much harder. But not sure, it was pretty easy on the coupe

Looks great!

Q: do you need to remove the door panel to take the door cards out?

I`m now close to completion, just doing some finishing touches these days

So used the weekend very well, and wet sanded the whole car. Hood got 1500 grind, then 3000. Rest of the body just 3000, wanted to have som clear to play with later

Will soon do a photo session, so no finishing pics before then

Looks amazing!! I've had three Z4s but always regretted selling the first that was a coupe. I can't wait to buy another coupe. Mine will be a Zmc.
