Does anyone know if the Viseeo Tune2air will work with 2006 Z4M Roadster

Greetings to the forum.

Have a 2006 Z4M roadster with DSP and bluetooth for the phone.

Also have the factory BMW Ipod connection that terminates in 30 pin connector.

Have been using the Iphone 6 as the phone with the cars bluetooth and an ipod for the music (limited to playlists BMW 1 thru 6.

Does anyone know if the Viseeo Bluetooth Tune2Air will work with this setup?

Thanks in advance for any guidance and input.

Could you share what advantages you have with this product other than not having to plug in the phone to listen to music?

Response

Hi there - in response to your inquiry

Of course as you state the main advantage is that you do not need to physically connect (in my case Iphone 6) to be able to listen to music. That in and of itself was enough for me.

Below are some observations of other "stuff" that works based on my usage since it was installed..........

1) Install was painless - plugged it in - paired and was off to the races - total time under 5 minutes - no muss no fuss

2) Automatic pairing upon reentry into the vehicle

3) The steering wheel controls continue to work for both volume and advance of track (song).

4) It is smart enough to leave the bluetooth for phone calls alone (bluetooth was already in the car for phone but could not do music) when I get a call music stops and I can pick up the call - when the call ends it goes straight back to the music.

5) Can choose the playlist from the phone itself - the only playlists that are recognized by the car are BMW 1 thru 6 - selectable by pressing the number key that corresponds on the dashboard. However you can select different lists that are on the phone and they play just fine.

6) Have started using the navigation on the phone rather than the built in nav in the car.

The only con to it is that it was not the low cost solution. Think that I paid $90 for it off of amazon. There are cheaper ones out there but after reading and searching a bit on the net it seemed that they might work and might not and I did not want any hassle so I went with this.

It does what it says it would and to me that was what I wanted. We come straight back to the convenience of not having to jack the phone in physically. Now the iphone stays in the computer bag at the end of the day and my music starts.

Hope that helps.........

It's the first thing I purchased before I took delivery of my 2007 E85 Z4 3.0si last month.

Figured out the volume in the car is directly related to volume on my iPhone, silly me!

I love it, got mine on Amazon for $89.

I have the factory CD changer and the auxiliary input installed. Not sure how I can go about adding it. I believe I require the oem nav interface.

You don't need nav but you do need the ipod interface. I'm sure someone here can provide the bmw part number or aftermarket equivalent.
