should we worry about s54 rod bearings?
Read some stuff about lang racing discussing about poor quality rod bearings on our s54.... true?

I believe so but maybe not something to lose sleep over. I am planning on getting mine done next year. The car will not get much seat time until then anyways. I think you can get it done at a shop for about 1k-1.2k

Like schmoupe said: worry, but don't lose sleep. Don't sell the car. Drive it hard. As others pointed out this is blown up on forums, but you should do oil analysis every change. That's the only worrying you should do. If the analysis shows a concern, deal with it and then continue to drive it hard, enjoy it and test your oil.
Oh yeah: and don't rev high until it's properly warmed. |
