F/S - Full DKF Exhaust

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 1,350.00

Or Best Offer

Location:
✓ Will Ship

Item Interest
I know this is unfortunate timing, with the current GB, but I'm selling the exhaust that came with my car, going a different direction. This is the FULL exhaust from headers back, including street resonators and the race mufflers/cans. Includes DKF adjustable rear hangers too. This thing is a work of art, and a shame to hide it under the car!

With the street resonators in place of the cats, it is ideal for cars with US headers. Off and ready to ship, no waiting! Half dead grass not incuded.

Exhaust;

Resonators:

Cans:

Exhaust is ceramic coated, and in great shape. Nice aggressive sound, and it is boxed up and ready to ship, so here's a chance to get the full exhaust with no waiting and for about the same price as just the S-pipe GB price.

Price is $1350 OBO, shipping not included, but I have a Fed-Ex account so shipping will be reasonable. Thanks for shopping!

Does this exhaust drone excessively? I currently have Stromung and there is mild, completely tolerable drone. I previously had RE Diablos and I thought they had excessive drone (not road trip friendly).

Shipping FedEx to a business address (cheaper than residential delivery) would be about $50. The system is very light, whole thing weighs about 42 lbs, or roughly what just the two stock cans weigh!

Regarding sound level and drone...I don't have much of a reference point, but there is some drone. Not as bad as RPIs, from what I can gather, but more that Stromung. Its not bad at all when you learn to adjust your driving style a little. Basically don't lug the motor and it's not bad. If you drive 2500RPM in 6th and floor it, then yes it drones. But it's an M Coupe, not a Mustang, so you shouldn't be lugging the car around anyway!

As far as sound level, it does have the race cans, so it is moderatly loud. Not as loud as the RPI, but going to be more than a Stromung or Remus for example. It does not set off car alarms as you drive by! Sounds awesome on a rev-matching downshift blip too!

Whole system is very light, weighs about 42lbs!

Thanks for the info. I think I'd better stick with Stromung so my significant other doesn't kill me. Good luck. These should be gone very soon at that price.

Without a tune, I will most likely get a CEL with this setup correct? Will the CEL affect my fuel trim levels at all? Thanks guys

Shouldn't get a CEL. The CEL would come from replacing header and not relocating the o2 sensors from the header. With this setup, you relocate those o2 sensors to the section 1 and no CEL. But this setup alone won't replace your header or put you at risk of CEL.

They stay exactly where they are now, in the OE headers.

If you decide at some point to install aftermarket or Euro headers, you will need to talk to DKF about replacing the resonators with section 1 CATs (with O2 bungs).

For now you just bolt the system up & you're done

Enjoy.

What about the o2 sensors in the secondary cats? Am I completely out to lunch lol?
