Talking Topside oil change without dipstick

Has anyone used Mityvac on Z4 without dipstick?
I cannot find any related article.
Does it mean this is not the right way to do it?

Not sure how you would get a suction tube down into the oilpan without a dipstick. The 'right' way for me is draining the oil the conventional way - nothing terribly complicated about it.
