found a AW/IR M Coupe FS in PA
this color combo is pretty rare among our cars. this one popped up in my backyard practically! Looks like a decent deal considering some of the performance mods I see on it (Michelin tires, stoptech brakes, HRE wheels). Exterior looks quite clean....although, i saw it tonight in the rain. Looks like the car is from Texas with the registration stickers on the windshield--someone's former car here? THIS IS NOT MY CAR. Just posting because I know there are some AW fanatics out there. best of luck if you are shopping! http://seldenmotors.net/cgi-bin/show...4113&d_id=1138 |

What a beauty. Not a fan of the mileage. I'm sure it's going to need some work.

Is there a certain mileage mark where the VANOS should be checked and/or replaced?

What do you mean by Vanos pump? Vanos bolts could be a problem (on any M), exhaust hub could be a problem (on any M), but I'm not sure what you mean by Vanos pump. |

A 7 year old car with 75,000 on the odom isn't hi mileage by any means. A car with half the mileage could have its share of problems just from not being used. As long as the maintenance records are there, I'm ok with the mileage -- maybe just not the price.

When I purchased the car, there were records of a low speed (parking lot) ding which led to the rear bumper being replaced.
On delivery of the car, the (awful) delivery driver thought he could get it out of the truck without placing boards under the wheels. He then proceeded to rip the front bumper off. I filed a claim through insurance (as the delivery company refused to admit fault) and had the entire front bumper and all covers (wheel wells, etc) replaced at VAC. If someone is interested in this car, I have full service records from my time of ownership. Upwards of $6k, but it ran like a top when I traded it. It also has Stoptech, HRE, Euro headers, etc etc etc. Great car, just too low and aggressive to keep in Philadelphia. Our roads are a minefield... |

I know the owner before the forum member acquired it. The accident was a ups truck backing into a fender. The car was clean and well maintained, all mods done professionally at Titan motorsports ( where the owner works ). My car is the same color combo, has different HRE's and has Forge brakes in place of stop techs...considering how rare aw/ir cars are it's funny to have two in the same town, at least for a while.

I have the same car as well -- different part of the continent though.
My driver's seat has wrinkled the same way as that one (maybe more), I wonder if the red leather is more prone to that, as I see a lot of black seats looking mint. I couldn't help but notice the dealer was quick to slap their stickers on the trunk lid. That would make me so mad! |

I have a space grey with imola red and my drivers seat did the same. On a side note there is a alpine white with black interior for sale in Sun Valley California. http://www.cars4uonline.net/web/2801.../2007-BMW-Z4-M

Clean and moisturize the leather and you will not have any issues. At least I do not.
