My Airbag is Hanging Loose

I noticed today the airbag is not fully secure on the top. I only noticed it when I had to press the horn and felt the airbag moving in 2 directions (up and in). I tried to push down on it to fully secure but no luck. Anyone else have this issue?

The airbag is secured by two torx screws on the back of the steering wheel. One of them may have come loose. T30 if I recall.

I don't see/recall any Torx though, I just thought the air bag snapped in with spring loaded clips. I'll take a closer look tonight.

If I recall correctly, the two bolts that tighten down the airbag is hidden under the multi-function buttons. Which means the buttons need to come out before you can access it.

It has been a while though (nearly 10 years since I last removed an airbag on the Z4). When I get home I can fire up the TIS to double check.

Nevermind...

Thats scary, hate to think what would happen if that airbag went off.
