out of interest what does the 90 stand for in the markings 90-170??

It represents 90nm (newton meters) i.e ~450lbs

170 = 170mm.

kw spec 61mm & 170mm length spring will fit the clubsport directly. After a conversation with the factory recently, they can supply up to 180n/mm for the clubsport as per the customers request.
