Lease Transfer, 2009 128i Black W Red Leather, $350 a month, $0 down!! North NJ
Ok I am doing this for a family member who needs out of their lease, This isn't my car but I can put you in touch with the current lessee, Its a 2009 128i Coupe, The Options are, Black Sapphire Metallic over Coral Red leather, Auto/Steptronic Trans Power Front seats w Memory iPod and USB adapter Heated Seats Its done (I think) 7000 Miles, Most is 8000 Miles, He doesn't drive it much, He leased it new in Oct 09, Lease is up October 2012, 12k a year, $350 a month, Obviously he put down a large payment to get the lease so low but hes just looking to get out of it right now, So the deal is literally $350 a month until Oct 2012 and thats it, No down payment, just take it off his hands! Obviously its still within all warranties and maintenance, Hes located in Woodcliff Lake Bergen County NJ, and as I said any questions I can put you in contact with him, Here are a few pics of the car, I don't know the exact process of a lease transfer as I have never done it but I will find out how to, I "think" there is a $450 fee to transfer the lease, Can't remember where I read that but I'm sure we can find out when we contact BMWFS to transfer the documents, Also to mention, When he leased it he bought a lease wear and tear protection plan, It covers cosmetic damages and excess wear and tear on the car so BMW won't charge for it, So basically you can beat the crap out of the car and you don't have to worry about a thing when you turn the car in! Perfect for dings and scratches etc etc. He can give you all the details of what that covers as he has the paperwork for it, But from memory I think it cost him $900 or so at lease purchase, Any questions please ask

The car is in Woodcliff Lake Bergen County,
The lease is 12K miles per year, I'm not sure of the buyout yet, I will have to ask him today when I see him, The car is available to look at anytime

Don't pay a lease company to be the middle man - just contact the original company that the lease is provided through and ask them for their procedure. Each OEM and their associated lease arrangements have different procedures. The only thing you'll be doing to go through an intermediary is paying them to tell you the same thing your own lease company can tell you by a single phone call.
NOTE: Not all lease companies will fully release the original lessee from the lease obligations so if the person who takes on the lease defaults on the payments, the original lessee is obligated to continue making payments. This isn't true of all but I know one OEM's lease arrangement for sure works this way because I went through the process successfully. I just asked the person taking on my lease to pay in advance, 3 months worth of payments and he did until the lease was done. It was a bit of a risk to me but I didn't want the car any more due. There is insurance you can purchase through your own lease company to protect you against the person defaulting on the payment but it's up to you to purchase it. The same sort of insurance will be offered through the intermediary company as well and the amount is based upon the lease payments. Here's the link to each company's lease terms and conditions as they pertain to transferring or terminating a lease. Read carefully. I make no guarantee of the accuracy of the information - you should ALWAYS check with your own lease company. This is at least a good first reference. http://www.swapalease.com/help/lease-company.aspx Good luck! |
