Stud conversion with close end nuts.

Will the turner motorsport's 75mm stud conversion kits work with close end nuts? What's the length of the close end nuts to use for 75mm stud with no spacers as of now?

I found some are 26mm, 35mm, 40mm and 48mm.

Anyone with 75mm stud use any of the above length open end nuts with installed picture?

I remember putting in 38mm Gorilla studs, and use Spoon lug nuts, which are considered "extended". Not sure how long the Spoon lugs are exactly.

i use the turner 75mm with kics r26 composite nuts open ended..... such an awesome combo which not only makes life much easier, it looks awesome as well.....

the 75mm nuts WILL NOT work with a closed end nut as the top half is like a smooth donut end with a hex end.....

just use an open ended nut much better in everyway!

Do you have a picture of them installed? Does the 75mm stick out of your R26 quite a bit, if so how much? If you can measure it, it'll help me a lot.

BBS set seems to use 80mm with close end nuts.

I don't like the look of open end and I don't use spacer for all 3 of my wheel sets.

when i get home ill post you some deailed pics, the rear stick out slightly... the fronts with a 12mm spacer are flush...

So I guess I can assume. 12mm spacer + 26mm nuts = 38mm flush. So 40mm+ closed end is the answer?

I agree with Beedub.
The Kics are great lug nuts.
I'm using 90mm studs, so I use the R40 which are longer and hide the stud entirely.
I love the floating seat on these as well; wheels torque down more evenly and don't damage the wheel nut seats.

75mm is way too long for my purpose w/o spacers. 75mm - 12mm spacer = 63mm.. Seems like 30mm closed end will work with 60mm studs with room to spare.

If I go with 60 mm, I can use 30mm closed or 26mm open for flush look...I'm now onto the hunt...

What's a good 60mm stud set if anyone knows? Maybe this? http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...II--2.0/ES202/

im wondering??? does the turner 75mm studs INCLUDE the non threaded bit at the end?? im wonder if the whole stud may actually be longer??? either way these studs are awesome and the nuts are a thing of beauty...........

The pic on Turner is hard to read but it looks like they spec the same as this pic from R.Eng.

From your pic, 64mm is exposed after stud installed into the hub.

assuming Beedub using 12mm spacer is flush with 26mm nuts

wheel mounting width = 75mm - 12mm - 26mm = 37mm

60mm stud - 37mm wheel = 23mm

Should I conclude that 60mm H&R studs with Kics 35mm close end nut should fit with room to spare? How many turns do one need to safely secure a nuts to studs?

It's actually less than that.
The rotor hides part of the threadless shank in the middle.

So I bought the BBS red lug kit and have been researching and contacting numerous vendors (even BBS USA themselves) to see what types of studs I need. Can't seem to get a for sure answer from anyone.

Does anyone know what I need in terms of the thread size and stud length?? I plan on running 10mm spacers in the rear.
