Kosei K1's for M Coupe?

Has anyone tried the Kosei K1's in 17 x 8.5 for the M Coupe? Tire Rack says they will fit and they are really light, inexpensive, and would be quicker on the track than larger diameter wheels....I used these exclusively when I raced my E30 M3 and never had a problem but wanted to see if they fit without issue on the M Coupe.

They fit, you'll need spacers if you want to keep your track width in the rear, otherwise they will be super sunk in.

I tracked them for a long time before I got a BBK, love them.

Garage List
what o-cha said, they unfortunately don't make them in the aggeressive offset you need for the reas so you'll have to slap on spacers.

Any idea what size spacers? These will only be for the track. Just so many more tires to choose from in 17's and they are 2/3 the price of 18's. Plus, little faster out of the hole.

theyre a 17x8.5 et 40 I believe. you could use up to a 30 in the rear and a 15 in front depending on how aggressive you want it

extended studs?
supposedly with 15mm spacers a 75 stud should be sufficient... larger spacers should use either an 80 or 90mm stud

It depends. I was able to use a 15mm spacer on a 75mm stud, the best thing is to check on your application how many turns you get. IIRC 8 threads is what you need.

just bought a z4 3.0si coupe and have Kosei K1's from my E46 that I plan on using as my winter set for the Z4. It's going to look pretty funny in the rear without spacers. Im going to pop the wheels on for test fitment soon. I'll try to remember to take a picture and post it here.
