Boxster
Realize this is off topic but would like some feedback from fellow z4 owners...Anyone jump or think of jumping over to a boxster spyder? Had my 2.5 z4 since 05 after some close calls have my mind set to pull the trigger. Must have is the fixed back seats would love non ac but realize that's prob not going to happen

From what I have read I think it is a great car. I wouldn't buy it without A/C, for basic use (even track days) and not trying to win races this isn't a creature comfort I would give up. How often do you normally use A/C in Texas??

I had a crappy blue chevy nova in Arizona a few centars ago, with AC unserviceable.. man I tells ya.. some days I was contemplating setting fire to the darn thing, that's how bloody hot it got. Edit: now if your making a track weapon, diff story..

I drive a Boxster S as my daily. They are fantastic cars. The way the ///M can kick out and just go doesn't happen with the Boxster. You can get it to pop loose, but it comes right back! Fantastic car. Fast, fun reliable. That being said... it doesn't have that special something that the ///M has. It's more confidence inspiring, but it's not as thrilling.

Jumped from Z4 to Boxster S. I love the Boxster. IMHO, you can't go wrong.

hmm, what is the actual reason for NOT wanting A/C? the a/c and compressor unit is very reliable in the z4, as long as you keep it clean

honestly, just the idea of the boxster spyder in rs form sounds pretty cool...fixed back gt seats, radio/ac delete...I think most dealers ordered cars with ac/radio so theyre pretty rare

Order of preference, as I currently own a Z4M and Boxster S
1) Z4M 2) Boxster 3) Z4 non-M. I'd go from a non M to an M before I do the Boxster...WAY more power.

but the spyder has more power and weighs less than a boxster s? I haven't seen a comparison between the spyder and the M though
