Forgestar Wheel, trackday near miss.

Hey,
Not sure if any of you guys have seen this yet on Jalopnik... makes you think twice about that '"budget" wheel for dedicated track use.

Actually kind of makes me wish I got my wheels in silver rather than anodized black, to inspect for cracks.

All the tire changes done on his wheels added to the stress and may have helped any cracking to start or to propagate. The RE71's in particular are a bear to get mounted and I'm surprised there haven't been more reports of wheel breakage on lightweight wheels just in the tire mounting process.
