I am setting up my P1Gear.com site with SCCA Solo compliant magnetic number and class plates.
  • Each 20" x 12" number plate sheet has two 8" tall 1.25" stroke numbers that you cut in half with an Xacto knife and steel ruler. This gives you two 12" wide x 10" high plates. There is a black border around 3 sides.
  • Each 20" x 12" class plate sheet has four 4" tall class designations with a black border around all 4 sides. After cutting you will have four 12" wide 5" tall class plates. Use the two as back up or share with a friend.
  • Position the class plates directly below the number plate and you will have a plate whose overall dimensions are 12" wide x 15" tall.
These car magnets are affordably priced and quality produced by CafePress for me. I will post pictures of my plates shortly.

If you might be interested, let me know what numbers and classes you'd like via a reply or email request@p1gear.com.

I find that bigger pieces of magnetic sheets like you're producing, VS ordering individually cut numbers hold much better to the car.

Cool stuff

P1Gear.com magnetic number and class plates

P1Gear.com now has magnetic plates for all numbers 0-99 and all SCCA classes.

You'll also find some BMW and F1 Circuits wear.

One suggestion, you may want to format the number section so you can have 3 numbers in the event anyone wants to go to National tour, Prosolo, National's with a co-driver. Allows them to put a 1 on there. Nice product. If you accommodate three numbers, I may order a set.

Thanks for your feedback. I had considered that as my son also sometimes co-drives with me when he's home from college.

Unfortunately I can't reasonable squeeze a 1 on a single sheet that has two plates, and still follow the Solo number width rules. I very much wanted to be able to keep it very low cost - less than $30 for numbers and classes.

I had old magnetic numbers that I had hand cut and painted with Krylon, so I wind up using these when my son co-drives. The trouble with hand cut numbers is that they tend to tear in the corners after about a season. I went that route and described a nice procedure to make your own neat hand cut numbers here.

While I thought of separately producing 1s, I doubted there would be any sales as it defeats the low-cost idea. I had the rough idea of combining it with other desirable graphics, but didn't come up with anything nice that didn't violate someone else's copyright.

Best of luck in the new season!

How well do they hold up for track events at speeds exceeding 100 mph?

Never had an issue on any front straight, where u typically max 125-127. I just make sure the doors are clean before I apply them.
