vinyl wrap brashed blue
first time to do the whole car wrap, 3m 1080 is really good stuff. just the bumper today...its really hard to do it by yourself you will needa your friend to help you to do it. mistake around the hood hole but I will go for hook hole license plat holder anyway and it will be covered.
I think I did really well at the rear half that how this color suppose to show, and will redo the front end soon plus about 10 cm in length for spare all unit in cm trunk 74x152 skirts 188x40 Rear fender 118x75 Rear bumper 238x76 front bumper 237x76 door 114x60 front fender 166x110 hood 163x152 front bumper 237x76 finished!!! day 1: 7 hours , by myself pics day 2: I wanna quit already...its really worth 3600 to make professional to do it for you 3 hours job and two guys thought the hood will be the easiest piece to do ...well its not! day 2 1/2: just cant stop to doing it till i cant feel my legs...m bumper is on now YEAHHHHH~~~ and...yes I dont needa do my roof ! LOL day3: doors...i should go for solid colors...although the brushed pattern looks good on day light, it is really ugly in parking lot or at night time. hope 3m will come out some solid matte blue soon BRAHHHHHHHHH strong recommend not to buy this film but other will be fine dayx: there comes brushed blue z4!!!! will take some photo shooting soon~~~~ Last edited by Jony722si; 06-06-2012 at 06:15 PM.. |

Looks pretty cool, reminds me of the colour of my friends E36 M3.
Planning on doing the whole car or just the front bumper to protect from stone chips? I'd love to wrap my whole car in a nice light blue colour but not sure how it'd look overall |

pretty cool. The front bumper has a lot of tight corners and shapes, so its probably the hardest piece to wrap. Just be careful if you plan to autocross it. I've seen cones crack the vinyl on front bumpers, where it is stretched tightest with air space under it
The color is very unique, a refreshing choice. I think the brushed texture it has will look good too

mind telling us how much you paid for the materials?
that's pretty cool OP. if it's more a time commitment and not so much a $$ thing...i might try this so long as it's completely reversible. always wondered what it would be like to drive an orange car or that crazy gt3rs green :shifty:

paid 970 for this "special finished" film... Im already wanna change to matte grey metallic now. that film cost about 470 for whole z4. I have seen a matte grey with saddle brown combo 328i coupe at the dealership that is a great looking combination!

Nicely done, i think it looks great. It started to get me thinking wrapping mine, but the time and bumper part will be pretty painful. I did a clear wrap on the whole front of an e92, took whole day even it was already pre cut. Good job.

Pretty sweet! Pretty amazing that you did it in a parking garage. Where in Toronto do you live? I'm up there a lot. You Z4 owners meet up a lot? I've got relatives up there. My cousin lives near the Drake Hotel on I believe Queen St.
