Removing pins for camber?

I've heard about people removing pins in the struts to increase camber, but I don't know:
- How you do this?
- Is it reversible? Can you pull them out and put them back in over and over?
- If the latter, should I wait til I get to the track to do this, or can I do it at home the night before and then drive to the track?

You can put the pin back in, but why would you want to? Not sure if you want to make camber adjustments so often that you will wear out the strut hat bolts

removing the pins doesn't give you camber. Removing the pins allows you to then go get an alignment to get maximum camber in the front (minimal btw roughly -.5 degrees).
