Problem with Business CD Radio
I have a Business CD Radio in my '08 Coupe and it has a problem right now in that it drains the battery. The dealer checked it out and when the car is off, something in the radio is still drawing from the battery. The dealer politely offered to replace the radio for $1000 and I politely declined.. Figured I could pick up a used unit a bit cheaper.
My question is, however, is it possible to do a straight replacement of the Business CD Radio with a Professional CD Radio. Will the plugs be the same, etc? Any thoughts? Thanks M@ |

Not sure about the plugs but when I replaced my Top HiFi amp with an OEM unit I had to get it coded to the car

There is no "Professional" head unit for the Z4, just the same "Business" model you have. They turn up on Ebay occasionally.

Have to wonder if the amp is staying on when the radio is turned off.... Disconnect amp to see if the fault is that. If the battery drain stops then it's likely the radio needs to be replaced.
