Matte black BBS CH-Rs on Z4M Roadster, 19".

Hey everybody. These are about my favorite wheels of all time, but I didn't put them on my Roadster at the start due to cost. Unfortunately, I blew out one of my Linea Corse LC818s last week, and wasn't able to find a replacement (until this weekend, which was of course too late). I went ahead and purchased some brand new BBS CH-Rs in 19x8.5 et32 and 19x10.5 et25, with Continental Extreme Contact DWs in sizes 235/35/19 and 275/30/19.

I absolutely HATED the chrome ring that come with these wheels, so the first thing I did this morning was remove them. What a PITA. Took me about 2 hours and 3 bottles of goop-off to remove all the adhesive. I finally got all that goop off however, and absolutely LOVE the wheels now. The LC818s were nice of course, but these just scream quality, so I couldn't be happier. As well, a nice bonus were the 275/30/19 Contis. They look really, really wide in the back! (I'm lowered on H&R coils too of course, in case you wanted to know)

Well anyway, here are some pics I just took. Let me know what you think, I hadn't seen another Z4M with these wheels on them so we can add this to the database!

Thanks! Do you have CHs or CH-Rs? I hadn't seen CH-Rs yet on our cars, but I had CHs on my original Z4M so kinda knew how they'd look a bit.

I like the CH-Rs a lot better, thinner spokes and all. Both are sure nice though!

Looks great

Any fender work required to fit those rears? I was going to get these a few years back but chickened out because I wasn't sure if fenders would needed to be rolled to fit the 10.5" wide wheels. Ultimately went with the 9.5" wide CI-R instead. I have those same 275 Conti's, but your 10.5" wheel makes those Conti's look super wide

Thanks a lot! Wheels alone from Tirerack were a little over $2,500 shipped.

Thanks to you too! Fenders are stock and untouched. Like I said I'm on H&R coils with a bit of a drop, but driving around today for around 70-80 miles I didn't rub a single time. I sure wouldn't want to go any lower however, as the tires/wheels really fill up the wheel wells!

Yeah, that was a nice bonus with the stretched tire look a bit in the back. Definitely look closer to a 285/295, and are noticeably wide than the 275 Hankooks I had on previously.

Hi Nicky, no mine are just the CH style. They have been on the car for around 7+ years.

I honest cant really tell the difference unless they are side by side.

That looks great. Not having to roll the fenders is a big bonus to me. Might consider these for my own Z

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried them out first. Ugh, instantly disliked them when I saw the car. Those four simple rings alone seemed to destroy my whole theme for the car. They took what I think is a car that flows fairly well, and made it look like a Pep Boys assembled eye sore.

I'm probably over dramatizing this, but all was instantly well once I got rid of the rings. What a PITA it was however, even heating them up the adhesive with the heat gun didn't help much! All that worked was a ton of scrubbing and lots of goop-off.

Was the ring some sort of stick-on? It looks painted or chromed on and blends in fairly well with the rest of the finish on the wheel - there isn't any hard transition that makes me think it was stuck on.

I actually don't mind having the ring on my platinum finish - hopefully, the rim of the wheels won't take too much of a beating during tire changes. I believed that was the intent of the ring - to prevent the wheel finish from getting marred during tire changes.

It's a ring that's held on by this awful adhesive. Used a very narrow screwdriver to pop up each one up a bit, then pulled them off. I scratched one wheel a tiny amount, but used some touch paint I had to cover up the mark. Nothing worse than the marks the wheels will get after a few months of use anyway.

I have these on my 1 series daily driver...was going to pick up a set for the M Coupe too but was scared the 10.5" ET 25 on 275 tire would be a bit too much. BUT LOOKS GREAT. You look lowered, any rub? Fender mod?

Nope, still not a single rub ever and I've hit some dips at a good rate of speed. It's perfect!

Thanks for the compliment too!
