First ever auto X

Novice school in San Antonio for the SASCA. This was from the first heat of the day, my first time ever on a "track". I ended up being one of the slowest (stock tires) although at the end, they changed the course and gave us three runs without an instructor to get the best we could get. based on the PAX score, I ENDED UP WINNING!!! although to be honest i think there was a timing malfunction but whatever

My little brother made the video, i hope you enjoy.

I think some of those turns you can fit another car between you and the cones...lol

It comes with doing it over, and over, and over, and over again to get crazy close to the cones.

This is an screen shot in avatar form of my auto-x run in my old car...I love the shot because I can't get any close to that cone..

^pic doesn't work. Yea, was real hesitant about posting this video because it was my first few runs ever. People like you make me self conscious!! thanks for the advice!, By the end of the day i was really nailing it. unfortunately didn't get those later runs on videos.

wow... that looks like a great layout as well for the cones, defo one of the better layouts for sure :-)

the video and music fitted well, if your bro gets hold of a better resolution camera hes going to be making some real nice videos :-) was well impressed with his cam work and steadyness, i saw some nice driving in their too, dial in your alignment and you'll be amazed how much further you can go on the stock suspension :-) Be warned the drug is now injected in your veins, you'll need another hit soon............

SOOOO much more addicting than i thought! Its really also not as hard on the M as it would have been on other cars ive driven, it felt like. Aside from my tires and my alignment i was in love, in a way the stock tires and alignment added a HUGE challenge, i was getting smoked by 350z's almost the whole day.

ill have to relay the message to my brother, he will be thrilled to hear it! hes a great editor and filmer, he just didnt have as much footage as he would have liked, and as you said his camera could be better but im impressed. Thanks!

We've all been there...you just gotta keep on going at it.

The people I drove with told me I drove like a grandma, jokingly of course but it still made me want to get better and prove them wrong.
