Migrating From F30/F32
Hi All,
Due to a change in priorities, I'll not be taking delivery of a new Fire Orange 435i in Munich this September. Instead, barring any problems arising from an inspection, I'll be taking home a 2007 Z4 M Coupe with ~22,000 miles on it. I had a nice long test drive Sunday and it is awesome! Mechanically very tight with a few minor cosmetic issues like swirlies in the clear coat. Check out the car - Z4 M Coupe |

Greetings, earthlings!
Hey everybody!
After owning my z4m for a little over a year, I finally made it to the forums. A few pics attached for yer viewing pleasure. First one was taken shortly after purchase. Living just north of SF, I like taking a long way home sometimes (read: often) over the mountain (next two pics). In that year of ownership, I've made it to three track days - and met two other brothers from the same factory (next 3 pics). Went on a road trip last summer, and although meeting sunrise at the wheel was pretty - there was quite a few bugs that met their end at the front-end of my car (next two pics). Interior pic - just for the sake of woody prettiness... I generally don't like wooden trim, but in this car I think it's quite quite nice. Looks way classier than aluminum and cf, imo. Last pic - hope you don't have opportunities to take pics like that! (just a routine check, thanks to my trusty V1 my driving record is almost clean). |

Hey guys,
Just checking in as a new Z4 owner. First of all sorry for the bad picture quality from the parking lot, will get some proper pictures up soon. It's a 2005 2.5i, totally matt black, smoky lights, 30mm lowered with eibach springs, 19" rims, red brembo brakes and small rockford fosgate / alpine sound system but much more to come |

New Guy
Hi all,
M y name is Joe, I bought my Black 2004 Z4 a couple months ago. 90k miles, one owner, excellent condition. New top and tires. It's the 2.5 motor and automatic. We use it for touring to fun places around Florida. This forum has already helped with some little DIY projects. Thanks |

Hey All, my name is Jason and I'm a used car dealer in Plano, Texas. I wanted to post a clean Z4 I have to the marketplace but I want to make sure that's not against the rules. While I'm new to this forum I'm not new to forum etiquette. Is anyone aware of the rules regarding a dealer posting a car?
I don't want to pretend to be something I'm not and want ot be respectful of the community. I tried to before posting. |

Hi all, new to the forum.
Just bought our first BMW, a 2005 Z4 3.0i. I have to say thanks to all the current and former forum members, I spent 36 hours poring over this forum to learn what to look for, and how to evaluate the car prior to purchase. It's in absolutely amazing condition, except for a few rock chips on the hood, it looks like it just rolled out of the factory. One owner, all options, all service done by BMW, all records. It has 42,000 miles, which is just enough that everything stayed lubed and working. Obviously garage kept all its life. That'll be my daily driver for at least 3/4th of the year. And when my wife beats me to the keys. Current garage includes a 2013 MB GLK350, a 2013 MB E350, and a 1966 Piper PA-28-180. Immediate plans are for a Roadster Solutions windscreen, and a front tower brace. Looking forward to learning! |

Welcome...Nice roadster...don't see too many in that color.
The little Z4 looks tiny in a sea of pickup trucks and SUVs |

Re those rock chips, get the proper paint code for the car and get yourself a DrColorchip paint repair kit. I used one on some rock chips on my car and unless you break out a magnifying glass or a jeweller's loup, you practically can't tell that there was a repair done. Its way better than the standard touch up paint sets that leave a blob on the paint no matter what you do. Enjoy and conrgatulations!!

New to this board and just saying hello. I have a 2006 BMW M6 but will be helping sell my Father-in-Law's 2006 Z4M with only 3,100 miles on it. I love that little car and will hate see it leave the family but want to make sure it finds the right home. More to come in the appropriate forum later.

I'm a retired guy who is new to this forum and to BMW. I just bought (7/7/14) my first BMW automobile, ever. It's a 2004 Z4 2.5i w/36,000 miles, silver / black / tan, with an auto. I'm looking forward to bonding with my car. From what I gather I'll be bonding a little more with this Z4 than with my previous Asian counterparts. But I'm up to the challenge. Since I got the car I have replaced the cabin and air filters and the brake fluid. The last engine oil change was July 2013 and since then the PO drove the car 700 miles. I'm still planning on changing the oil and filter next week. I brought the tires up to their correct air pressure - they had 10 psi in each run flat tire! I also cleaned out the drains for the power top motor and replaced the spark plugs (the originals have been in the car for 10 years and they were very difficult to get out).
Is there anything else I should address as a preventative maintenance measure given the age and mileage of the car? Thanks for your input and I'm looking forward to spoiling my Z. Cheers! PS: During the late '60's for an after school and weekend job I worked at the local BMW dealership preparing new 1600's and 2002's (02 Series) for delivery. I've always had special feelings toward those vehicles and I hope my new-to-me Z will rekindle those same feelings. Last edited by JimG Z4; 07-14-2014 at 03:30 PM.. |

Great looking car, but I think you're looking for the other ZPost for your car's generation. http://e89.zpost.com/forums/index.php

HELLO, first time poster, month long lurker. And now, first time BMW owner.
Purchased a 2007 Z4 3.0i last month and have been reading a lot of the forums for advice. Thanks!!! It will be a weekend car for the summer & fall, and commuter whenever I can beat the wife to the keys. Full fluid changes at the dealer, new tires & coil springs. I added a WindBlox deflector and replaced all the interior lamps with LEDs. Will be checking the soft top drain plugs this weekend. I should be adding some real photos (borrowed the sig pic for now) in the coming weeks. Will be attending the WindyCityBMW Horsepower Picnic for it's first induction to the club.
