First Spring Drive

Ahhh...

Just took Rose out for her first drive of the spring. Was having a blast, except I also had to bed in the new brakes. Man that always makes me nauseous. Was able to to 10 60-10 segments, a cool down, and only got another 5 segments in before I had to call it quits.

Now I gotta go wash to slush drops off the car!

BTW, CDV delete and Syncromax fluid makes a BIG difference in the feel of this tranny. Shifting was SO much smoother today.

How hard was it to bleed the tranny? I think when I do fluids I will take off the CDV too.

Any issues with the differential? All good with the new fluid?

Man I like bedding in new brakes. They are fun. When I did my HP+ pads sparks were shooting out the side of the car

My first autocross is Saturday the 30th and we are forecasted snow til Tuesday. I hope the salt is gone with some rain

I assume you mean bleeding the CDV. Nothing to bleed in the tranny itself. Bleeding the CDV was not that big of a deal, especially with my motive pressure bleeder (love it...would recommend to anyone). The bleed valve is up there a bit and somewhat tough to get to, especially with fat fingers, but a little patience is all that's needed.

Everything else seems good!

I took Rose out for another run today, mainly to get the underbelly rinsed but also to adjust the new clutch stop I installed. MAN, what a difference this clutch stop made!! I can't believe how much easier quick shifting is now (gotta practice my 4-5 though...hands not as fast as feet apparently).

Best $10 mod I've done yet...well, I guess CDV delete was free so not a fair comparison.

the clutch stop allows for full engage/disengagement? No downside?

Nope, no downside. The stock one has plastic threads and does not allow for much height adjustment. The one I bought on ebay allows for much higher adjustment. You can't screw it out as much as the engagement point though, otherwise the starter lockout won't disengage.

Love it!
