Have to agree. Ultimate cup holders are what you want. You can either keep the broken cupholders in place or order the covers for them and remove them completely.

Unless someone makes an aftermarket solution that wont break instantly, wont squeak, and work a little smoother, the OEM cupholders are absolutely useless.

not trying to hijack, but I'm in the same situation (looking for L/R parts), but not to use them. I just want the thing to be covered. is there a way for this? ie, shut it completely.

There is a cover you can buy, although I think it's a Euro part so I'm unsure what vendors would carry it.
