Please report back on any benefits or downsides you notice. I've been thinking about jumping at a set as well!

Remove the six bolts (3 on each side) on the two shock towers.

Clean the towers, you don't want to put new parts on dirty metal.

Place the caps on the shock towers, and make sure the metal pin is in the indent on the underside of the strut brace cap.

Bolt them down and don't over tighten them (seller said torque is 25lbs).

Line up the strut bar (takes an usually large Allen wrench) and bolt down. All done.

Went to wash the car and the usual undulations weren't really noticeable so I think it works pretty well.

Get one!!!
Thanks - I just might do that!!

Blew out one my damned rear wheels yesterday morning! Hit the mother of all pot holes, damn near put my head through the roof. Cracked/broke one of my beautiful Linea Corse LC818s, I absolutely loved those wheels!!

Bad part is, I couldn't find a replacement anywhere in the country. Had to pony up the money for a new set of matte black 19" BBS CH-Rs from Tirerack, and they'll be here on Monday to get me back on the road. Luckily, I have a brand new set of Continental Extreme Contact DWs in 235/275 which I was waiting to put on in the Spring. Well I guess they're going on the car now.

I'll post some pics in the wheel/tire section next week. The CH-Rs are my favorite wheel, but I really didn't want to spend the money since the LC818s were so nice.

That sucks!

I thought I had the same problem last year on the way back from a track day.
It was dusk & this monster hole just about swallowed the car.
I went to the trouble of dismounting the rubber to inspect, but I was lucky.

Super curious to see how this will look on our platform (actual pics, not PS). Please take as many pics as possible, and from different angles!

Are you going to try to get reimbursed by the DOT? I know a coworker of mine that hit a massive pothole (they're all over the place at the moment during construction) and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. He hit it hard enough that it damaged parts of his headlights.

He got paid within a month or so. Not sure if they have something like this outside of SC , but might be worth checking?

Oh thanks for the headsup, but really there's not much money in it. The wheels are maybe like $300 each, and the tires were all shot anyway. Honestly, the wheels didn't look that great close up as I had purchased them second hand and they were pretty marked up. The CH-Rs are going to be a monumental upgrade in both looks and quality, so it's not all horrible. I just didn't really want to spend the money.

I know the feeling. Only had my Z4M like 2 weeks and I'm about to do full brake job (rotors, pads and rebuilt calipers). It adds up quick!

I have a full set Calipers & Rotors I would be willing to sell, I only have about 6 months on the brakes. Upgraded to the Stoptech Big Brake kit and they are just sitting in the garage.

Finally got these back from the shop today. The door panels will go great with my Recaro's also still waiting for the rest of my engine compartment pieces. If you are looking for a US based Carbon guy check out Moses at Carbon Signature

I have about $600 in it for both, but I bought an extra set of door panels. I did not know that the interior door inserts are not removable. The matched the Alcantera and stitching on my Recaro seats. With all the accents in Carbon Fiber it is going to look pretty sick.

Billet aluminum antenna delete plug. Since my trunk trim was disassembled anyways from my coilover install I decided to do an antenna delete mod. My plan is to paint and clear coat the plug with the same paint kit I used to paint my reflectors. I'll hook up the antenna module to it just like it did to the Ariel and see how the reception is. I don't listen to the radio or use the phone so any decent reception would be a bonus. Never did like the rear quarter panel mounted antenna look so this solves that!
