Whos thinking of trading Z4M for a 1M

How many of you are thinking of trading in your Z4MC/Z4MR for a 1 Series M coupe when they are released next year?

Not a chance. Not ready to fall in love again yet. This car has a raw quality that more modern BMW's are tragically missing. Fast is fast, but HOW you get there is equally important in my books.

You might have to act quick, coz australia is only getting like 100-150 of them.
I already think the 135i is too expensive over here so no way i would pay for a 1M. Wont stop it from being a great car, fast and its looking pretty mean.

Sorry, thats going backwards for me. Only looking forward. Coming from NSXs, 350z, S2000, Z4M, M3, etc... Why would I want a 1M? They have nothing to offer me at all. I would get a new M6 if I want 4 seats.

Absolutely. I couldn't agree more with this post. (This is coming from someone who dumped their E92 M3.)

The reason for my post wasnt for support for buying a 1M. I actually still want a Z4MC and wanted to see if there will be a whole heap more for sale as the 1M comes out.

But from what I can see here the Z4MC will still be limited. In Australia we are lucky if theres even 1 to choose from to buy. ATM there are 2, a black '08 (25000kms $85k) and a silver '06 model (19,000kms $80k).

Not sure if the 1M is for me, but too honest very interested. But for some reason, I really enjoy 2 door sports cars such as the Z4M. Might me the last true raw sports car we see from BMW for a long time.

Hey buddy, I saw a Black z3 m coupe the other day with these massive 19' wheels, looked amazing! Also saw a red and a blue one recently, I think they get better with age!

Similar hp, similar weight, worse styling. No way. I'm excited about the idea, but would never trade my m coupe in for one. Granted I haven't driven it but I did see it at Ofest.

If i had the money i would consider it because the pictures look amazing. Plus they are much nicer inside, but this is coming from someone that would be using it as a daily driver. I would wait for the road test then make up my mind.

I would like to see the entire car and read reviews. The regular 1 series has a pretty low rent interior and they will need to upgrade that significantly. Even though it's a small car, it's still a heavy car. Sometimes a back seat and a trunk do come in very handy. Does the 1 series have fold down rear seats?

I said now way in the poll.. but.. Wife has a 2004 325ci and she would be all over trading hers in on a 1 series M coupe! she's been wanting to go after the 135 already.. the M would just make it even more tempting.

I'm not at all interested in the 1M. The only other M-car I'd get would be an M3 sedan, if life required me to get rid of one of the 2-seaters.

I wonder if the 1M will be one of those cult cars in the future. I think it will be, only if they stop making them after this generation.

I would probably only trade for a Z4MC or a P car. I don't need a 4 seat go fast car.

I'm sure it will be a nice car, but the 1 series in general just don't do anything for me aesthetically. Some nice surfacing and graphical details, but the overall proportion is not pleasing....
