inTgr8r,
You've answered quite a few questions but I have one more for you... you mentioned needing some electrical work done, are there some special requirements for the model you have 220V or a higher amperage line? Thanks

It would have saved on current draw. At 110v, 3hp draws 22 amps. Factoring FLA at 125% slides you just under a 30a breaker. I also needed some extra outlets at my bench so I ran a conduit & did a few extra things at the same time. My panel is right there so it wasn't a big deal. The hydraulic power pack comes with a length of cab-tire, but no cord cap. I used a 30a twistlock cord cap & rec. (I was an electrician in a former life )

No doubt... Thank You for the information, that's good to know. I'm sure if I go with something like this I'll have to beef up my breakers, just something to plan for.
Thanks!

nah... it's VERY stable.
I did a low lift the first time & tried to rock the crap out of it. It barely moved at all. I was very impressed.

Very nice. Maybe my ship will come in. Sounds like 220 could be the way to go. My panel is right there as well. Have to have a look and see what's available.

This must be so much better than cold floors--my shoulder doesn't like being under the car much any more either. Hmmm.... |

You would be surprised how much a car wobbles on a regular 2 post lift. Takes a while getting used to, you might actually think it would fall off.

Did the same but bought a 4 post lift, needed room to store the Z4 and my 1943 GPW.
