Where is the oil temp sensor?

There's an oil pressure gauge in the cluster but I have been through Realoem and I can't find the oil temp sensor, all I can see is the oil pressure switch #12
Thanks

*I understand you have an S54*

From what I understand having done research on the M54. The oil level and oil temp sensor are combined in the bottom of the sump.
I bought an aftermarket filter cover with sensor provisions for temp and pressure.

https://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac...s54-p1065.aspx

There are threaded bungs in the block that access the oil galleries for sensor locates also.

Or you could tee off the existing sensor hole on the OFH.

Ah, thanks Steeler, makes sense. My apologizes Clearancediver, you were right.

Here's a nice little gadget that will solve my problem, voltmeter, oil pressure and temp, coolant temp.
