As long as you confirm that it was only a cosmetic move (like mine) and not due to a body shop repair, you'll be OK.
If you prefer the OE location, it's very easy to move.

The one in the second link. It also appears to have some kinda bling bling going on around the Roundel LOL.

^that's just plain weird, including the M badge location.

I think it is just lights reflecting off the chrome surrounding the roundel. Make sure you bring a paint guage to see if any parts of the car have been repainted.

Overkill IMO. A decent paint gauge will run you at least $500+. You should see if you can find a local detailer or get a shop with the equipment to do a PPI.
