Power window motor just died. What are my options?

I was rolling down my passenger window today and heard a loud bang followed by some grinding noises. Fortunately I was somehow able to get the window closed again, but the motor is definitely toast. I'd like to try and replace it myself to save money, but I need your help. If any of you have done this before I'd love to know how it went and what I need to do.

There's a thread I recently used to replace my window regulator. If you can follow those steps to successfully remove the regulator, then replacing the window motor should be a piece of cake. For the life of me I couldn't find it, but found this other one just as useful.
