Tires too old?

I went to the tire shop today to order new rubber as I return my car to stock so I can trade it in - I ordered a full set as I thought the old set was shot

When I pulled the OEM wheels out of the closet, I realized that the rears need replacing but the fronts actually have about 50% tread left, leaving me to wonder if I should keep the fronts knowing a dealership won't place too much value on the new tires. However, these have been sitting in my closet for 3+ years - I don't see any dry rot but is there anything else to be concerned about? Would you replace the fronts, especially given that it's only~300$? The tires I ordered are the same that came with the car, if it makes a difference: Contental DWS.

I wouldn't be too concerned with tire age if you're trading it in.

If you really want to know how old a tire is refer to this:

If you are trading it in, why spend money on tires, the dealership won't give you more on the trade in for new tires vs. old tires, if you replace them. Cost vs. benefit here..

But if you are going to need to do that, keep the older tires, especially if they fit on another car. I have a few extra tires from when I bought my car and then swapped my car, in case any of them go flat.
