For Sale: Used RD Sport Carbon Fiber Sport Sound Intake Silencer (basically CF intake similar to Gruppe M). I had it on my 2.5i coupled with a RPI scoop and Dinan Stage 2 software and it was amazing (sound and torque). I originally paid $399 a few years ago. Had it on and off my vehicle, and it's been off since I've smogged the vehicle.

The Racing Dynamics Sport Sound Intake Silencer is a complete replacement of the original BMW unit and increases flow by utilizing a Dacron® air filter.
The Carbonfiber cone creates a RAM effect that increases flow to the filter element and creates positive air pressure in the unit, thus improving engine performance.

why is it called a silencer? Isnt it louder.then say a stock intake?

It's just what RD Sport calls it...sounds much better than stock
