like i say i REALLY want to get this to 500rwhp and 350-360Tq.... th hp figure will be easy to grab, the tq will be more difficult and may not be possible without more boost which is not something i want to do......... i need to get back to the dyno again and spend some real time getting figures where i was their to see how the dyno was conducted.... as im seeing a true 8psi i may ask ess to do me another tune to take advantage and gain some moe Tq....... The 7psi tune is limiting me, especially once i get over that figure as timing is pulled, either way im making great power and the car feels great on the road..... Cant wait to get some track footage......

Beedub, I'm excited about your plans! It's a shame it's so hard for us to make the torque we crave, but at least big power is an immediately attainable side-effect of that quest
Do you have any videos of your car, either on the dyno, street, or track? I'd love to hear it! |

I can't wait to turn this into a semi-sleeper. I'm keeping the oem rear mufflers, and adding coated euro headers. The sides are already debadged. Muhahah
I also re-read the 6 page thread about meth, which I'll probably end up doing if you get some good numbers on your install too. I bet the rev needle swings like crazy in the upper RPMs! Thanks for the tip on the o-rings + I just installed my new custom plate

tom the rev needle swings so fast its genuinely difficult to change up before you but the limiter......... keeping your stock mufflers your going to hear some wonderful sounds under the bonnet.... i personally went to the RPi to drop as much weight as possible.
The sound form the rpi with boost is true an awesome thing to behold...... like i say, make sure you got good tyres..... Dont even bother trying to drive fast with the traction control on, it will be slower than stock as its ALWAYS on, lol. Get ready to crap your pants on the first hairpin exit when the car launches out with the type of performance that will make you scream out loud. Most of all youve just created a car to keep forever, one that you'll find very difficult to move on afterwards because its so fun... you WILL smile every time you look under the bonnet for the sheer details.... Cant express how happy you will be.... did i say.... make sure your tyres are good?? lol seriously, this car is useless without proper tyres with this power. are you excited yet??? this is as close to buying a new car you could have done.... i wasted an m3 v8 sunday with complete ease...... Do me a favour, i know money will be tight after this purchase but look into gauges asap, its very important to keep a keen eye on things..... so come on.... whens this happening? where?? details man details!!

heh, of course I'm excited! You're right, my next mod will have to be tires, then gauges, then meth.
My local shop gave me an ETA of 2 weeks for the kit to arrive, I even negotiated to participate in the install so I know what to fix if I get a boost or oil leak. Because I just LOVE the way a z4m fits me, how I feel like I'm "wearing it", and how much confidence the chassis gives me, I can't imagine changing this car for anything else under $100k. What other roadster offers an experience like this? An 8000rpm screamer is one thing... an 8000rpm screamer with boost is downright exotic to me. I'm already thinking about making molds for widebody rear fender arches, so someone here can produce them. I'd love to fit some FAT tire back there, something around 305 or 335mm

roffle, what type of condition are your current tyres??
you will see what i mean once you get this installed..... your tyre choice from now on is going to be VERY important........ this may very well be your first expenditure......... great idea on the install to be involved!! i took most of mine apart for various reasons, usually to re-route things so ive got a great working knowledge of how it work, where the leaks can occur if they will and honestly, its a very easy kit to work on, everything is accessible and easy to work on...... the later kits also get lightweight boost pipes which are a work of art and so light i originally thought they were plastic!! your shop are on the safe side, from when the kit actually gets shipped it'll take a week MAX, do yourself a favour and email Ess for your tracking number, that way you'll be able to plan to perfection getting your car to the shop....... Ess always give out the tracking numbers.... they use fedex priority and its fast.... i think they got my VT1 from the us to uk in 4 days first time round...... love how you feel about the z4m...... i honestly see what your saying.... i CANT wait for your review!!

+ I'll get some "dynolicious" acceleration numbers, maybe v-box numbers, some 1080p video, and probably even get it to a 1/4 mile track.
yes, I'm that ambitious. I'll be comparing this car to a 470hp viper GTS which I've owned before it

What size tires are you running, all around? I think I've heard you say you have Pilot Super Sports--so do I, 245/40 in front and 265/40 in rear on the stock rims. I love 'em, but unsurprisingly am concerned I will soon be desperate for more grip in the rear.

once I go through my Hankook V12s, I'll probably pay up for a set of Potenza RE-11. No point of spending all that money to get extra power if you're not even using it until 3rd gear. especially since I'm not into top speeds anyway
