Z4M power upgrade

Hi guys,
I have Z4M and I want to upgrade it's power to 400bhp(+).
How can I achieve it without turbo or supercharger?

So far, I removed the catalytic converter and I'm lookin for some directions from your personal experience.
(BTW, removing the catalytic converter has side effects?)

Thanks.

Maybe if you do : Full catless exhaust, Cams, CSL airbox, Pulleys and Tune you can get close to 400 crank.. but at that point its gonna cost as much as a supercharger that will give you 525-570...

We don't have turbo kits for our cars unfortunately. As far superchargers, we have VF-Engineering and ESS-Tuning. I haven't heard bad things about either company, a lot of my friends worked with both of them. It all comes down to personal preference, I would go with the VF570 kit. I included a link to both of the SC's available. Hope this helps, Cheers

Unless VF has changed, I wouldn't go with VF unless you have access to a top-notch tuner and dyno. VF's equipment isn't bad, but their software and tuning capabilities are (based on MFanatic's experience--friend of mine). If you have that access sure, it can deliver. Otherwise ESS provides the entire package.

The Flux Capacitor is about twice the price of the ESS S/C.
Not sure if it would be worth the extra cost.
Might be easier to pass smog test though.

If you go the flux capacitor route make sure you get the Gen 2 model which supports a wider variety of everyday fuel sources (compost/garbage, excess common beverages, etc). The Gen 1 model requires plutonium as a fuel source to provide the 1.21 jigawatts of electricity needed to power the capacitor and finding a steady supply of it without dealing with some shady characters can be a bit troublesome. Harnessing lightening as an alternative source of power has been done but I'm sure I don't need to explain the difficulty and pure logistics of making that work consistently.

If you do choose the Gen 1 + plutonium approach then an advanced dashcam with nightvision and radar as well as a kevlar vest are highly recommended accessories. In either case a lot of road is necessary to attain the required speed to build boost pressure.

Hahahaha it's a secret so to speak, I'll give you a hint (Fueling fueling fueling). Basically I'm willing to claim that my car will run faster than any FBO Z4M that is on the rear 3.62 diff.

Sure thing buddy... just share it or don't even mention it at all. And if it's nitrous then not really a secret, most people are not willing to do it.

You removed all 4 or just the 2 rear (or front 2 in the headers)? Decent gains to be had with replacing the stock U.S. header with the cats in the headers with aftermarket or European headers. Pretty low cost, virtually no negatives.

I have header, exhaust, pulleys and intake. Do I just need tune, cams, and flux capacitor to hit 400?

I think you would be better, lightening the car up and adding these upgrades.
I would go with a tune, exhaust and rear diff first. I promise you will see a huge improvement.

Stock US 333hp vs an Est. 365hp

Euro Headers - Activewerks $895 - Saves about 5lbs off OEM / HP Increase 7hp
RPI Exhaust - $995 - Saves 17lbs off OEM
Cold Air Intake - AFE - $495 / HP Increase 5hp
Power Pulley Kit - Turner - $265 / HP Increase 8hp
Tune - Activewerks $495 / HP Increase 10 hp
Go to a 4.10 Rear Diff. - $3,000 Installed *Highly Recommended*

Dump the stock wheels the weight 31lbs each, this will save you another 40lbs

You could save another 40lbs by replacing your seats with Recaros
Titans-7's = 18.25lbs or APEX's = 19lbs
