Z8 mod '03 Z4 for sale $35k
This penultimate 2003 Z8 custom roadster body on z4 frame @ 58600miles, with OEM Nav, Power, 6 speed manual. Stratus Metallic paint and like new General 255x35x94 ZR rated tyres on Z8 18" alloy wheels makes a classic Z class work of art and performance. This car has never been in an accident and has been pampered by both owners. The new 2011 Z4's resemble the "classic" styling exercise intended to evoke and celebrate the 1956-'59 BMW 507. More pics on eby This is a one of a kind car, and not the product of a car kit for the Z8 that doesn't even have a trunk. This Z4 model has many of the same technologies as a Z8 Considered in this price are issues pictured and are as follows: 1. Headlamp plastic RF cover has been cracked, also needs replaced highbeam light, LF lowbeam light needs replacement. These are not the OEM headlights@ $1000 per unit and can be repaired for much less. 2.Detailing needs pictured for parking lot dings and 3rd brakelight bezel that can be carefully touched up. I mean...Z8's are cool, and obviously, I'm a fan of the Z4, but....why? I just don't understand replicars.

All that work on the kit and they skip on the side mirrors ?
Other-wise a nicely done rep. The Z8 interior is a lot of work to replicate further though. Still would be fun . |

Honestly, I think if the wheel gap was fix-able, you could drop an big M engine in that, with some fat tires, and have a fun daily driver

Aside from the 4x4 status she's rockin', it looks ok. I personally do not like the Z8 but even if i did, i wouldn't pay 35k for it, nor is it worth 115k some people are asking IMHO.
GLWTS but I dont see you gettin 35k for it, sorry. |

It looks like a decently done mod, although the Z8 badge on the console is tacky. The price however is completely insane. A mod like this would detract from the price not increase it.
The only reason I'd ever buy a kit is to make it either significantly cheaper or better performing than the original. I have a buddy that has a 1950s porsche built on top of a 1990s porsche. He gets the power, steering, reliability, etc. of a modern porsche with a beautiful old-timey classic design. Sure it's kinda ridiculous but hey life is once and he loves his ride. I don't hate If i'm ever baller enough (or win the lottery) the girlfriend is getting a Morgan SuperSports. If I'm super rich she's getting an MB special 540K Roadster (1-2 mil?). If no baller status is ever achieved she's getting a 540k replica and I'll build it with my kids
