ZHP control arms
What would one expect to see in terms of a performance difference between the OEM control arms on the Z4 and the 330i ZHP control arms that can be fitted?

I did the swap on my E46 323Ci. The change was subtle.
The ZHP control arms are nothing special in that it's just the plain Jane BMW front lower control arm, but a little bit longer. The result is additional front negative camber. Additional front negative camber = better turn-in feel and better grip in corners due to the way the front McPherson Strut is designed. Side effect is the inside of your front tires will wear faster. Same can be achieved with a set of camber plates. If I recall, the ZHP control arms changed my front camber from -1.7 to about a -2.1. |
