Gains gains gains...

The majority of my search for power has been largely sad and discouraging. I have an M54B30 motor in a 2003 Z4. I can say that I am actually happy with my finals results after much contemplation on if I should do any modification at all.

My mods consist of catless headers, Dinan muffler, panel filter and a Eurocharged tune.

My stock crank hp was listed from BMW as 225. I dyno'd at 229 wheel and the ecu was still adjusting. with simple loss correction I'm making roughly 270 crank. I mostly notice the correction of power delivery under 2500 rpm.

I would recommend headers and a Eurocharged tune all day.

Dyno attached only shows gains after tune. I don't have a dyno pre-headers and filter.

Those are healthy numbers, but you're leaving some power on the table - a good exhaust, intake and underdrive accessory pulleys (as well as a mechanical fan delete) can really put you over the top with extra power everywhere and no downside. Expect an additional 10whp+ PEAK when all those are done.

Where can I find more information on the fan delete?

Can you recommend a thread?

Does your car have a mechanical fan? (I looked it up, it looks like it doesn't)

Here is my "build" on my M52TU with dynos. The M54 is almost the exact same motor:

Here is the dyno thread I made for M52tu/M54 Motors:
