Terrible MPG - z4 n52
Hi all,
I've been getting much worse mpg than usual on my z, 2006 coupe with 60k miles. I'm going to go to an indy shop to get it diagnosed but I want to lead them in the right direction if possible. I've been getting roughly 17mpg versus 24 this time last year with the same winter tire set up. So far I've cleaned my vanos solenoid with no change in mpg. My k&n filter was cleaned a couple months ago. From my research I've gathered that it could be a faulty vanos or solenoid or an o2 sensor. Any other thoughts? Thanks Last edited by E86Z; 04-11-2014 at 02:48 PM.. |

Also to be noted (although may be entirely unrelated) I had these codes 2f80, 2cfe, 2d09, 2cfb. They popped up on a cold winter morning. They cleared themselves and they didn't come back.

Do you have a way to check your AFR on the pre-cat O2 sensors? If there is something wrong, it should be apparent there. If AFR is off it "should" throw a code, but I never place much faith in the OBD2 system.
