Z4 conversion to electric?
I was watching an episode of "Wheeler Dealers" this morning and they converted a Maserati "bi-turbo" to electric drive. I am not a gear head. I just love to drive my Z4, but it struck me that a "mechanically disadvantaged" example of one of our cars would be a pretty cool subject for a similar conversion. Has anyone done, seen, thought about, or woken from a nightmare (ha!) thinking about, anything along these lines?

I know of quite a few who did a z3 electric conversion.
Its very difficult (like 100x times more difficult than fitting a turbo or different combustion engine). Most people who do this themselves are phd electronics engineers. This is one of those conversions: http://www.evz3.com/ The amount of batteries you see there is 'only' 16kwh
