Nav screen not fully opening after mods

I recently modded the OEM nav screen to put an Android phone in the housing, which went pretty well with everything working as planned EXCEPT for one: The nav screen opens only 3/4 way up and should be pushed manually to open fully. It closes just fine, but the memory seems to be stuck on that spot. The left side buttons (to move the screen incrementally) also don't work beyond that point.

I remember having read something about resetting the screen motor but can't find it now. Anyone has an idea?

There was a long thread on one of the forums (I don't think it was this one) on this install. If I find it, I will post it here for you to check out.

Please post thread on how you did that. Would love to do that to mine and get rid of the old nav system. Did you remove the nav computer or leave it in place?

Thanks! Do you mean this one? http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1204677

I used this as the main guide, and followed a similar method. There are several other related threads linked there that I also looked at but couldn't find an answer.

See this: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1368025

I left the nav computer in because from my previous experience of retrofitting nav in my old Z, it's a lot of hassle to get to. Besides, I wanted to keep it as close to stock as possible in case I need to go back to OEM. Right now everything is stock, except for the monitor.
