How much did you pay for Inspection 1?
Question is geared towards non-M models. I have a 3.0si and the dealerships in my area want around $600-$700 for Inspection 1. I looked at the manual briefly to see what they do and all I really found was they perform an oil/filter change and a number of visual inspections. What am I missing here? This seems very expensive for routine maintanence.

You also get a cabin filter change in addition to the oil and filter change and visual inspection. I did mine @ an independent shop for $200. Just make sure you find a shop that has the right equipment and BMW certified techs.

Just called some independent BMW shops and the cheapest I could get is $250...still a rip, but much better than the $700 one dealer was asking for. I think I just might bite the bullet.
Has anyone out there just changed the oil/cabin filter themselves and avoid the Inspection 1 altogether? |
