I have had my car for just over 3 weeks and have put almost 2K on it already. You are right, it just makes you want to come up with and excuse to turn the key and go. At this rate I don't know if I can afford the gas. Neither does my wife.

http://www.auto123.com/en/bmw/z4/200...00&artid=90628 Back to the topic, I've put less than 5,000 km (3,000 miles) on the car this year. The car was laid up for most of July waiting on a new wheel to replace the one I broke on one of the many outrageously poorly maintained streets here in my town. I don't drive the Z all the time and I'll leave it parked if the weather is going to be crappy. But that's okay by me. I don't want to needlessly drive up the mileage, but at the same time, I love driving the car on a nice day. And she's going into hibernation around the end of November until some time in April. I would never expose my car to the absolutely horrific winter conditions and massive amounts of road salt we see here in Atlantic Canada. The benefits of that are two-fold: keeps the mileage down - and avoids winter "aging" of the car. So, I hope my Z4 3.0si will be relatively low mileage and in great shape for years to come.

I sold my '05 525i recently and picked up a CLS63 so my Z4 has somehow turned into the "beater" in the garage as it now seems to get a majority of the miles. I'm averaging just over 28 mpg in the Z4 opposed to 16 in the AMG...lol
