255/35/18 tire on 3.0si with a 9" rim ET30

Has anyone tried to fit 255/35/18 tire on the front of 3.0si?

I got 2 sets of 224m wheels. Have these installed on the 3.0si right now but front tires are flat spotted and old. So I have to get rid of them. I was thinking of using the 2 rear wheels from the second set, and already have 2 x 255/35 PS4S tires I can throw on there.

So the front wheels would be 18x9 ET30 with 255/35 tire (Michelin PS4S). I do have ST X suspension on this car and can play with height but no camber plates (prefer not to buy camber plates as this is a street car and really no need for aggressive front camber).

Did anyone accomplish something similar? maybe with a different rim/wheel but similar specs and same width tires?

Adding a 12mm spacer will decrease your offset, not increase! Since you're already running that wheel/tire combo on the rear, why not just move the rear to the front and do a static test fit?

Got the offset thing mixed up. Thanks for clarification. Statement removed.

I can do the static test with just the rim I suppose, or with one of the rear wheels. But I have 265/35 tires in the rear. So those are a bit wider.

I do have a friend who has the same wheels with 255s in storage. So I can still test fit. he's got Indy 500s on his wheels which may have a bit different profile and width than Michelins but still a good test

Running a Kumho Ecsta 730 255 35 18 on BBS RG-R RG760 18x8 et35 up front. Slight pinch, not enough to worry about. Doesn't rub. Camber -3.3. Rear is Ecsta730 265 35 18 on BBS RG762 18x9 et45
