Z4MC - Supersprint Muff, XPipe, Sec 1, Vids, Dynos

When I bought my 07 M Coupe used, it came with Supersprint Sport Mufflers and X Pipe. It sounded okay but still a little on the quite side. I track this car and really need the feedback from exhaust note especially for throttle blipping on the downshift. Below are two videos one before the section 1 (secondary cat delete also called connecting pipes) was installed and one after. Also I took a pre section 1 install dyno and will get the car dynoed this week to see the gains if any. The video does not do the sound change justice. The car is louder overall and deeper. Like turning the bass up and volume up from an 8 to an 12 or so.

Second Dyno to follow. I know some were curious about this mod for sound and power. The dyno will tell us alot, however I must say the car is definitely zippier! The car pulls alot more from 4k upward. Before it felt hindered in the upper revs now it feels more free to go. The M coupe was already quick now it feels like there is even more of a burst of power that comes on. I really love this car!

Good to know how much power gains all those pipes are giving!

Goes to show as well that BMW did an amazing job maxing output of the S54.

good to know...does it require ECU tuning for secondary cat delete or anything else?

no sensors after secondary cats so no ECU tuning required or CEL lights thrown. However, if you do get the headers, you prob need to re-locate the o2 sensors to the secondary cats

Now to get headers. Then you'll be wondering why you didn't do headers to begin with

However, be warned about rasp! Unless you plan on cutting up your section1/S-Pipe/connecting pipe and putting in some reasonators.

I haven't yet dynod my car after putting in SS uncatted section1, SS x-pipe, BMC filter, RPi scoop, etc...
But when I only had headers, AA ECU tune, and SS race mufflers, the car put out ~300rwhp and ~240rwtq on a DynoJet. And that was with no fans/blowers to simulate road-driving and to cool the car

I'm expecting at least 315rwhp and 250rwtq next time I strap on to the dyno, especially with a fan or two for fresh air to the intake duct
