Back, with Upgrades (Aero Skirts, Gloss Black Roof, CF Rear Spoiler)

So, for those of you that were following along with my thread about the damage my car received from the gravel on my way back from Utah late last month, I just got my car back yesterday from the body shop after 2 weeks. I'd like to take a second to give my thanks to Collision Solutions IV in Westfield, Indiana for the outstanding work they did on my car. After getting a new windshield, new headlight assemblies and having 2/3 of my car repainted (with a perfect color match, I might add) my M looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. They were even nice enough to fix my fangs, which had significant crack, free of charge when they repainted the front bumper cover. For anyone near Indianapolis, I highly recommend their work.

While it was in the shop I also had them paint and install my Aero side skirts and paint the roof gloss black. And as soon as I got the car back I took some time to install the Tekarbon 2x2 weave carbon fiber rear deck spoiler that has been sitting in my living room for 2 weeks. I installed using thin 3M adhesive foam tape and then filled in the small resultant gap with black silicone caulk. I'm on cloud 9 now that I have my car back with, especially with all the upgrades.

But enough talk, here are some pictures. Hopefully I'll get some time to take better ones today with improved lighting.

very tasteful mods... i'm liking all of the black roof options showing up on zpost. it certainly looks good on silver-based cars.

Thanks, I appreciate it. When I initially started modding the car I was considering going a bit more extreme (i.e. Arkym or VRS pieces) but decided that wasn't the route for me. The black roof had me nervous about pulling the trigger, but I'm glad I did, it definitely worked out well.

Wow, yes, this was a blessing in disguise. It looks great! I really like the black roof, and it just looks brand new now! Wow!

I think you've covered it somewhere, but once the paint cures, you're going with some kind of protection for the bumper, lights, and hood, correct? (I'll be doing that too after an eventual respray, wasn't worth it when I bought the car given the less than perfect front end.)

Take it that even with these changes you'll be renting a car for any future trips back to stone/pumice/sandblasting land!

Yes, I think I'll be getting a clear-bra for most of the front end.

And hopefully I never have to go back through the Rockies during the late fall/winter months, but if I do, a rental is probably going to be in the cards, haha. Funny thing is I actually had the choice of attending the course I had to travel for in either Utah or Pennsylvania; I chose Utah. :

Looks good, dig the mods

Did you put holes back in your bumper for the plate holder after it was repainted

They just didn't fill the holes, so when it was done they remounted the plate holder. I know most people don't like front plate holders, but I like having my Thin Blue Line plate, it has certain advantages.

looks really good! glad to see the recovery from gravel attack. it's one of the reasons my Zed is asleep this winter, didn't want a similar thing happening to me, roads are brutal in Canada for that.

What rear diffuser is that?

Yeah, I imagine Canadian winters can be pretty harsh on a vehicle, makes me thankful that I live a little further south.

The diffuser is a purely aesthetic piece that a couple of members on here helped bring to the market. You can find it here:

None that I have ever seen, unfortunately. If you contact Dubsesd or S4PLay they might know of some, it was their baby.
