Puzzled with the BMW recommended wheel sizes - HELP!
Gentlemen,
I am now in search for the winter wheels for my Z4 coupe (non-M). My manual says I should buy 225/45-17 Mud +Snow wheels. This means I would have to buy new rims (I now possess 18" style 203 rims for the summer). Meanwhile the MCoupe manual recommends 225/40-18 M+S wheels. I am pretty much puzzled with that discrepancy in recommendations. Do you think there is some logic behind those recommendations, or I can buy the studded 225/40-18 for non-m coupe with no additional risk? Thanks! |

the z4m size should be 225/45r18.
for the 203's, you can get 225/40r18's for all four corners. the rear will look stretched, but it will fit. if you're worried about exact fitment you might be able to find 225/40r18 for the front and 255/35r18 for the rear, but they may be super expensive or difficult to find.
